DOVER - The St. Thomas Aquinas boys tennis team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 6-3 win over Gilford on Friday, April 10 in a Division III match.

“We didn’t play our best tennis but we played with grit today," St. Thomas Aquinas head coach Adam Molda said.

Alex Molda (No. 1, 8-0), Aaron Molda (No. 2, 8-0), Nick Adams (No. 3, 9-8) and Ben Puertas (No. 4, 9-7) all won their respective singles matches for the Saints.

"(Puertas) and (Adams) showed toughness in big matches today," coach Molda said. "It was a great team win."

DERRY - Owen Russell (No. 1, 8-4), Coco Pazourek (No. 2, 8-4), Jamie Dunham (No. 3, 8-2), Will Rich (No. 4, 8-4), and Ethan LaNigra (No. 6, 8-3) all won in singles for Exeter in its Division I match.

In doubles, Russell and Pazourek won 8-4, Dunham and Rich won 8-3 at No. 2, and Sebastian Barone and LaNigra won 8-4 at No. 3.

DOVER - Diego Lopez (No. 1, 8-5) and Matias Lopez (No. 2, 8-2) both won in singles for Dover in its Division I match.

DURHAM - Ethan Boysen (No. 2, 8-3), Will Sowers (No. 3, 8-4), Santino Leo (No. 5, 8-2) and Sid Arthanat (No. 6, 8-3) all won in singles for Oyster River in its Division II match.

WOLFEBORO - Avery Porter (No. 1, 8-1), Aia Tracz (No. 2, 8-0), Elyse White (No. 3, 8-0), Aiofe Ryan (No. 4, 8-1), Emilie Saluan (No. 5, 8-5) and Maddie Salaun (No. 6, 8-0) all won in singles as Portsmouth improved to 2-1 with this Division II win.

In doubles, Porter and White won 8-0 at No. 1, Tracz and Ryan won 8-1 at No. 2, and Harper Huskey and Syd Ruel won 8-0 at No. 3.

DERRY - Lydia Goldrick (No. 1, 8-2) and Ava Castonguay (No. 5, 8-5) both won in singles for Exeter in its Division I match.

In doubles, Goldrick and Cate Phelps won 8-1 at No. 1, and Castonguay and Lucy Avery won 9-8 (7-5) at No. 3.
