Bayern Munich's dramatic 4-3 Champions League victory over Real Madrid was a night of pure, unadulterated emotion. However, the subsequent pitch invasion by celebrating fans has landed the club in hot water with UEFA, who have opened disciplinary proceedings. Despite this, Sporting Director Christoph Freund remains confident the club will avoid a stadium closure for their crucial semi-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

Speaking ahead of Bayern's Bundesliga match, Freund addressed the situation directly. "We're not too worried," he stated, emphasizing the club's strong relationship with European football's governing body. "Our contact with UEFA is good and close... UEFA knows what they have with the Allianz Arena." He acknowledged the post-match "chaos" was an "extreme situation" but pointed to the stadium's renowned safety record.

Freund also issued a sincere apology for the specific consequences of the celebrations, which left several photographers injured. "We are very sorry that journalists were injured. We are in contact with the journalists and the relevant authorities," he said, stressing that such incidents contradict the club's values. "Our stadium stands for safety and an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable."

With the football world's eyes now turning to the monumental clash with PSG, Freund reiterated his expectation that the Allianz Arena will be at its full, thunderous capacity. The belief within the club is clear: they anticipate a fine but not a fan ban, ensuring their famous home advantage remains intact for one of the biggest nights of their season.
