Two right-handed sluggers headline our favorite MLB HR picks for Tuesday's slate of games

Tuesday brings a full slate of MLB action, with all 30 teams taking the field—and that means plenty of opportunities for home run prop bets. If you're looking to add some excitement to your game-day experience, we've identified two right-handed sluggers from the American League who stand out as our top HR picks today.

First up is Seattle Mariners star Julio Rodríguez, who has been absolutely scorching in May. Known for heating up as the season progresses, Rodríguez is already tied for the league lead in home runs this month with five, while also hitting a blistering .350. He'll face Houston's Tatsuya Imai, the prized offseason addition returning from the injured list. Imai has yet to allow a home run this season but has struggled in two of his three MLB starts. Adding to the favorable matchup, the Astros have surrendered 35 home runs at home this year—31 of those to right-handed hitters. Whether he goes deep off Imai or later against a shaky Houston bullpen, Rodríguez has the tools and the opportunity to keep his hot streak alive.

Our second pick is Toronto Blue Jays veteran George Springer. While Springer, like many of his teammates, has stumbled out of the gate with a .198 average and just two home runs, Tuesday presents a golden opportunity for a turnaround. He'll face Tampa Bay left-hander Shane McLanahan, who is finally healthy and sporting a 2.60 ERA. But here's the key stat: Springer has homered three times off McLanahan in just 17 career at-bats—making him the only hitter on today's slate with multiple home runs against the opposing starter. Batting leadoff for Toronto, Springer is likely to see McLanahan three or four times, giving him plenty of chances to connect. Given his aggressive approach and the history between these two, this could be the perfect spot for a bounce-back performance.
