It was a day of dominant performances across the diamond, as several local teams delivered statement wins on Monday. From complete-game gems to explosive offensive showcases, here's how the action unfolded.

Frankfort 12, Southern 1
OAKLAND — Jaxon Hare was in complete control from the first pitch, going the distance as Frankfort cruised to a 12-1 victory over Southern. The Falcons' ace allowed just one run on three hits and two walks while striking out six, improving his team's record to a solid 15-6.

Frankfort's offense gave Hare all the support he needed, pounding out 13 hits. Blake Jacobs, a Charleston signee, led the charge with a 3-for-5 performance that included a stolen base. Fellow future Mountaineers Lanson Orndorf, along with Gunnar Bradshaw and Cole Shanholtz, each chipped in with two hits. Bradshaw was particularly productive at the plate, driving in four runs, while Orndorf added two RBIs of his own.

For Southern (8-10), Cade Leader managed two of the team's three hits. Ryan Bird took the loss after surrendering three earned runs in the first inning. The Rams will look to bounce back when they host Mountain Ridge (5-14) in the West Region I quarterfinals on Thursday.

East Hardy 20, Northern 15
BAKER, W.Va. — If you love offense, this was the game for you. East Hardy and Northern combined for 35 runs and 35 hits in a wild slugfest that saw the Cougars emerge victorious.

East Hardy (14-6) broke the game open with a seven-run fourth inning that turned the tide. Mason Hamilton was the star of the show, finishing a perfect 5-for-5 with seven RBIs and three stolen bases. He was just a home run shy of hitting for the cycle, collecting three singles, a double, and a triple.

The Cougars' lineup was deep and dangerous. Evan Hamilton and Shayne Sisler each recorded three hits, while Levi Price, Gage Dove, Mason Wilkins, and Patrick Mills all added two hits apiece. Dove and Wilkins provided the power, each launching solo home runs in the third inning.

Northern (13-6) didn't go quietly, though. Hunter Livengood was unstoppable at the plate, going 4-for-4 with five RBIs, including a two-run homer to left field in the seventh. Caleb Hinebaugh and Elliott Meyers-Shirer also cleared the fence, with Meyers-Shirer's three-run blast in the top of the third and Hinebaugh's solo shot in the fifth keeping the Huskies within striking distance. Jacob Chambers added three hits, while Hinebaugh and Gavin Maust each had two.

In other action, Keyser, Petersburg, and Lighthouse all picked up wins to round out a busy day on the local sports scene.
