If you still have your triple captain chip left in Fantasy Premier League then Manchester City - with two home games this week - could be your inspiration.

If you've been holding onto your Triple Captain chip like a lucky charm, now might be the perfect moment to cash it in. Manchester City are set to play twice at home this gameweek—hosting Brentford and Crystal Palace—and that kind of double fixture is exactly what FPL managers dream about.

At the heart of the action is Erling Haaland, who continues to dominate the Premier League with 25 goals this season. He's also the top points-scorer in FPL with 219 points, comfortably ahead of Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes on 209. With two home games on the horizon, the Norwegian machine looks primed to deliver again.

City's Antoine Semenyo sits fourth in the overall points standings with 183, while teammate Marc Guehi has quietly impressed with 162 points—the second-best among defenders, trailing only Arsenal's Gabriel (191).

FPL expert Holly Shand and the crew from the FPL podcast have weighed in ahead of Gameweek 36. This week's panel includes Alistair Bruce-Ball, Chris Sutton, Statman Dave, and special guest Jack Ukiah from the Fantasy Football Hub.

Statman Dave doesn't mince words: "Looking at the data over the last five games, everything points to Erling Haaland as captain. He has the highest expected goals (xG) for City and has created seven big chances. It just makes sense." He also noted that Nico O'Reilly could be an intriguing option if you're banking on double clean sheets.

Crystal Palace are the only other team with a double gameweek, facing Everton on Sunday and City on Wednesday. However, manager Oliver Glasner may rotate his squad to prioritize the Conference League. Chris Sutton mentioned he already has three City players but is considering Palace assets, while Jack Ukiah warned that "Glasner has admitted he plans half-time transfers, and the Premier League is not his priority."

Statman Dave suggests looking at Palace defenders Daniel Munoz and Maxence Lacroix, but cautioned that predicting Glasner's attacking lineup is tough. "Jorgen Strand Larsen would be the big gamble," he added.

With City dropping points in a dramatic 3-3 draw with Everton on Monday, they now trail Arsenal by five points—though they have a game in hand. That slip might affect your picks for the final three gameweeks, but for this double gameweek, the stars are aligning for Haaland.
