De'Aaron Fox had 25 points and the San Antonio Spurs kept rolling even with Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle sidelined by injuries, defeating the Portland Trail Blazers 112-101 on Wednesday night. San Antonio (61-19) is 28-3 since Feb. 1 and has its best record since 2017, its last appearance in the Western Conference finals during a 22-year postseason run that included five NBA championships. Deni Avdija scored 27 points and Scoot Henderson added 20 for the Trail Blazers, who have lost two straight after a three-game winning streak.

Even without their two brightest young stars, the San Antonio Spurs continue to look like a juggernaut. De'Aaron Fox stepped up with 25 points to lead a balanced attack, powering the short-handed Spurs to a 112-101 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.

With reigning Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama (rib) and fellow standout Stephon Castle (knee) sidelined, the Spurs showcased their impressive depth. Six players scored in double figures, including 20 points from Keldon Johnson and a season-high 17 from rookie Carter Bryant, proving this team is more than a two-man show.

The win improves San Antonio's league-best record to an astounding 61-19, their finest mark since 2017. Their 28-3 run since February 1st is a testament to their sustained excellence and has them positioned as the clear favorite heading into the playoffs.

For Portland, the loss is a setback in a tight Western Conference race. Despite 27 points from Deni Avdija and 20 from Scoot Henderson, the Blazers have now dropped two straight. They remain in ninth place, clinging to a play-in spot with just a few games left in the regular season.

The Spurs now turn their attention to a crucial Friday night showdown with the Dallas Mavericks, where they hope to have Wembanyama and Castle back in the lineup.
