Big news coming out of the USC recruiting trail—and it's all good for the Trojans. Just days after five-star athlete Honor Fa'alave-Johnson announced he's shutting down his recruitment and staying locked in with USC, four-star cornerback Danny Lang has followed suit.

Lang, one of the top defensive backs in the class of 2027, confirmed in an interview with Sports Illustrated's Kendall Hollowell that he's fully committed to the Trojans. For Lang, it wasn't just about the football program—it was about the relationships.

"I didn't have a relationship with no other school like I had with SC," Lang said. "I had a relationship with the whole defensive staff, like with every coach."

The Florida native specifically pointed to his bond with cornerbacks coach Trovon Reed as a deciding factor. "I say how [Reed] is as a person. He takes relationships serious with his recruits and his players. He also treats me like family, calling me every day, checking on me every day, seeing how my family is, seeing how my dad is. I really think that was the biggest part, just building that relationship with him."

Lang's excitement is palpable as he looks ahead to suiting up in Cardinal and Gold. "I'm hyped. Can't wait to see how I look in [Cardinal and Gold]," he added.

For USC, having two of their top 2027 commits fully locked in is a massive win. Head coach Lincoln Riley and general manager Chad Bowden are proving they can not only land elite talent but also keep it committed through the ups and downs of the recruiting cycle. With Lang and Fa'alave-Johnson both solid, the future of the Trojans' secondary looks bright.
