Big news out of Athens as a top quarterback target for the Georgia Bulldogs has officially set his commitment date. Four-star signal-caller Peter Bourque, one of the most sought-after prospects in the 2027 class, will announce his college decision on May 14, per recruiting insider Hayes Fawcett.

Bourque, who stands an impressive 6-foot-4 and weighs 220 pounds, currently plays his high school ball at Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts. He's ranked as the No. 7 quarterback and the No. 80 overall prospect in the nation, making him a significant get for any program. His final three schools are Georgia, Penn State, and Michigan—a trio of powerhouse programs that would love to add his arm to their future rosters.

Recruiting predictions are split on where Bourque might land. 247Sports logged a Crystal Ball prediction favoring the Michigan Wolverines back in August 2025, while Rivals' model leans toward the Penn State Nittany Lions. Neither prediction gives Georgia strong odds, which is a bit concerning for Bulldogs fans. Bourque is the highest-rated uncommitted quarterback left on the board, and along with Colton Nussmeier, he's one of only two top-10 quarterbacks still available in the class.

Georgia is clearly looking to solidify its long-term plans under center once current starter Gunner Stockton moves on to the NFL or exhausts his eligibility. The Bulldogs also need to bolster their 2027 recruiting class overall—it's currently ranked No. 30 in the nation, well below the program's usual elite standards. While they've secured commitments from two five-star talents (Kemon Spell and Jaxon Dollar), the class only has six commits to date. A surprise commitment from Bourque would be a huge boost, especially after the team recently lost a commitment from five-star cornerback Donte Wright.

For Georgia fans, May 14 can't come soon enough. Whether Bourque chooses the Bulldogs or heads elsewhere, this decision will have major ripple effects on the recruiting landscape.
