The United States Curtis Cup team is taking shape, with four standout amateurs already securing their spots for the 2026 showdown against Great Britain and Ireland. The USGA announced the latest additions Monday, bringing the roster halfway to its full eight-player strength.

Leading the charge is world No. 1 Kiara Romero, who earned an automatic bid by clinching the 2025 Mark H. McCormack Medal as the top-ranked amateur. After serving as an alternate in 2024, the Oregon star is now poised to make her Curtis Cup debut on home soil at Los Angeles's famed Bel-Air Country Club.

Joining her is the talented Asterisk Talley, one of three players named Monday through a combination of world ranking and committee selection. The final four spots on this prestigious amateur team will be determined next month following the intense competition of NCAA regionals, setting the stage for a thrilling build-up to the June 12-14 matches.
