Arsenal's injury woes are finally showing signs of easing just in time for a crucial Premier League showdown against Fulham at the Emirates Stadium. After reclaiming top spot with a gritty 1-0 victory over Newcastle, Mikel Arteta's side now has the chance to stretch their lead over Manchester City to six points. With a potential Premier League and Champions League double still very much alive following a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the semi-final first leg, every decision feels magnified at this stage of the season.

Kai Havertz remains the biggest concern for the Gunners. The German international lasted just 33 minutes against Newcastle before being forced off with a muscular issue, and he subsequently missed the trip to Madrid. Arteta offered a cautious update, calling it a "muscular niggle" and noting, "We don't think it's too much. We have to wait and see if they can be available for Wednesday." While Havertz didn't make the Atletico fixture, there's growing optimism he can still play a meaningful role before the season ends. "He had a little niggle," Arteta added. "I don't know how serious it is. It didn't look too big. The action, the way he describes it, is not too sharp. But we have to wait and see."

Riccardo Calafiori has also endured another disrupted spell. The defender played a full 90 minutes against Sporting CP on April 7 but hasn't featured for Arsenal since. There was hope he'd return against Newcastle, only for him to miss out again. Encouragingly, he was named on the bench against Atletico after Arteta confirmed he's available for selection. For Arsenal, that depth matters immensely during this intense run-in, where composure and flexibility are key—especially with injuries already stretching the defensive unit. A potential return date? Saturday, May 2, against Fulham at home.
