Four Arizona Wildcats heard their name called at the NFL Draft, and four more have signed on to teams as undrafted free agents.
Offensive lineman Ka’ena Decambra signed with the Arizona Cardinals, cornerback Ayden Garnes and defensive tackle Deshawn McKnight signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and wide receiver Luke Wysong signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
They join NFL draft picks Treydan Stukes (Las Vegas Raiders), Genesis Smith (Los Angeles Chargers), Dalton Johnson (Raiders) and Michael Dansby (Seattle Seahawks) as members of the 2025 Arizona football team to find a home in the NFL.
NFL teams typically sign anywhere from 10 to 30 undrafted free agents. UDFAs face an uphill battle to make an NFL 53-man roster but it can be done.
The most notable recent UDFA from Arizona to make a career in the NFL is Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles. The linebacker went undrafted in 2019 but signed on with the San Francisco 49ers and spent five seasons with the team before joining the New York Giants in 2025.
With eight players joining NFL teams via the draft or as undrafted free agents, Arizona’s presence in the league should greatly expand next season.
