Former Texas A&M standout Acie Law IV is making headlines once again—this time for a major front-office move. The ex-Aggie guard has been hired as the Chicago Bulls' new Vice President of Player Personnel, where he'll reunite with his former college teammate, Bryson Graham, who recently took the reins as the Bulls' Executive VP of Basketball Operations.
Law's journey from the hardwood to the executive suite is a testament to his basketball IQ and leadership. During his four-year career at Texas A&M, he became one of college basketball's most electrifying players. He won the prestigious Bob Cousy Award as a senior, led the Aggies to the Sweet 16, and left his mark on the program's record books. While Wade Taylor IV now holds most of A&M's scoring records, Law still sits fifth in total points (1,669), fifth in assists (545), and eighth in steals (156). Under head coach Billy Gillispie, the Aggies posted a stellar 70-26 record and made three straight NCAA Tournament appearances, fueled largely by Law's clutch performances.
Drafted 11th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in 2007, Law spent four seasons as a reserve guard in the NBA before taking his talents overseas to the EuroLeague for three more years. After his playing days, he transitioned seamlessly into scouting and front-office roles. He spent three seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder as Director of Amateur Scouting, earning an NBA championship ring in 2025 alongside fellow Aggie legend Alex Caruso. Most recently, he served as the Brooklyn Nets' Director of Player Personnel before landing his new role in Chicago.
This move not only strengthens the Bulls' front office but also continues a proud tradition of Texas A&M alumni making an impact at the highest levels of the game. Whether you're a fan of the Aggies or just love a good basketball story, Law's rise from college star to NBA executive is one to watch.
