Former Indiana State offensive tackle Keagen Trost was selected by the Los Angeles Rams last Friday in the third round of this year's NFL draft.

During the 2023 season, Trost started seven games and was part of a unit that combined to block for an offense that posted 264.2 yards total and 120.4 rushing yards per contest. The team recorded four games with 300-plus yards of total offense, including 394 at Murray State and 388 at North Dakota.

He started 11 games in 2022 and the year prior to that in 2021, he lined up in three games in the 2021 season and earned a start against Eastern Kentucky. Prior to his time at ISU, Trost played for Morgan State, where he saw action in four games.

He was a high school standout at Kankakee High School in Illinois. He was a two-year letterman under head coach Omar Grant, a two-time All-Conference offensive lineman and team captain during his junior and senior seasons.

Before the 2024 season, Trost transferred to Wake Forest, where he appeared in all 12 games before transferring to Missouri.

With Missouri, Trost started 13 games and was named first-team All-Southeastern Conference and first-team All-American by Pro Football Focus (PFF). He was PFF's highest-graded offensive tackle nationally.

At the conclusion of his collegiate career, he was invited to the East–West Shrine Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine. He stands 6 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 311 pounds.

In a phone call the Rams made to Trost on draft day, coach Sean McVay told Trost he loved his game and story and the different places Trost had been in college. McVay mentioned Trost's versatility in the call as well saying the team is fired up.

"Have a lot of love for you in our building from coaches and scouts, can't wait to get to work with you brother," McVay said on the call.

McVay said in a press conference, Trost will be able to help solidify the Rams and play all down lineman positions.
