We continue to get news when it comes to the college basketball transfer portal, and the latest is where former Ohio State forward Colin White has landed. White, the former Ohio Mr. Basketball from Ottawa-Glandorf High School, who came to the Buckeyes in the class of 2024, announced that he will be transferring to Akron on Tuesday after never really finding the playing time he probably expected in Columbus.
White was used in the rotation, but somewhat sparingly, averaging just 8.7 minutes per contest and averaging 0.9 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 0.4 assists last season. OSU has been very active in retooling the team this offseason using the transfer portal. White joins Devin Royal, Taison Chatman, Gabe Cupps, and Mathieu Grujicic in entering the portal this offseason.

He'll now have two years of eligibility left and should carve out some more playing time in the Mid-American Conference starting in 2026-27. All of Buckeye Nation wishes White well as he further his college career within the state of Ohio.
