A former Michigan State football star linebacker has signed with the local NFL team.
The Detroit Lions announced on Wednesday that they've signed former Spartans linebacker Joe Bachie. The nature of the deal has not yet been announced.
Bachie is entering his seventh season in the NFL, playing most recently for the Tennessee Titans this past season. In his career, he has appeared in 66 games (including seven starts) and recorded 77 tackles and two passes defended.
Bachie starred for the Spartans from 2016 to 2019, appearing in 39 games during his Michigan State career. He finished his college career with 284 tackles, eight sacks, five interceptions, two fumble recovers and four forced fumbles.
