Dallas will open its 2026 WNBA regular season on May 9 at Indiana (1 p.m. EDT, ABC).

The Wings selected former Tennessee forward Zee Spearman in the WNBA draft third round (No. 31 overall) on April 13. Ahead of the regular season tipping off, the former Lady Vol was waived by Dallas.

“Thank you, Zee,” Dallas announced. “The Dallas Wings have waived forward Zee Spearman.”

Spearman played two seasons at Tennessee from 2024-26 after transferring from Miami.

The 6-foot-4 forward averaged 10.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in 30 contests (27 starts) for the Lady Vols during the 2025-26 season.

Spearman appeared in all 34 games, including 23 starts, during the 2024-25 season. She averaged 11.7 points and six rebounds per contest.

Her career highs in a game at Tennessee were 25 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, four steals, six blocks and 38 minutes.

Spearman was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll in both seasons with the Lady Vols.
