Big news out of the WNBA: former Lady Vol standout Isabelle Harrison is heading north of the border. The veteran forward has officially signed with the Toronto Tempo, the league's newest expansion team set to tip off in the 2026 season.

Harrison brings a wealth of experience to Toronto's inaugural roster. Over eight WNBA seasons, she's suited up for five different franchises—Phoenix (2016), San Antonio (2017), Dallas (2019-22), Chicago (2024), and New York (2025). Now entering her ninth season, she's proven to be a reliable contributor, averaging 7.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and one assist per game while shooting an efficient 47.5 percent from the field.

One of the highlights of her career came in 2019, when she was named WNBA Comeback Player of the Year by the Associated Press. And on June 30, 2021, she made history by becoming just the third player in league history to record 20-plus points, eight-plus rebounds, and four-plus steals while coming off the bench—finishing with a career-high 23 points in that game.

Before her pro career, Harrison was a force at the University of Tennessee from 2011 to 2015, playing under legendary coaches Pat Summitt and Holly Warlick. She earned SEC Tournament MVP honors in 2014 and was named First-Team All-SEC. Her dominance in college led to her being selected 12th overall by the Phoenix Mercury in the first round of the 2015 WNBA Draft.

Now, as the Tempo build their identity ahead of their debut season, Harrison's leadership, resilience, and championship pedigree will be invaluable. For Lady Vols fans and WNBA enthusiasts alike, this is a signing worth watching closely.
