The NFL landscape just got a little more interesting as former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Swayze Bozeman has found a new home with a longtime AFC rival. According to ESPN's Ben Baby, the Cincinnati Bengals have claimed Bozeman off waivers, adding depth to their linebacker corps.

Bozeman's journey to the Bengals has been anything but straightforward. After going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, he initially signed with the Chiefs, where he spent time on the practice squad before being elevated for a Week 14 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. He saw action primarily on special teams but also logged defensive snaps in a Week 17 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bozeman was even active during Kansas City's playoff run to Super Bowl LIX, gaining invaluable postseason experience.

His college career began at Copiah-Lincoln Community College before he transferred to Southern Miss, where he truly made his mark. There, Bozeman recorded 168 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, and an interception—numbers that caught the eye of NFL scouts despite going undrafted.

After his stint with the Chiefs, Bozeman joined the Chicago Bears in the following offseason and later spent the 2025 season on the New York Giants' practice squad. He appeared in six games with the Giants, tallying six tackles before being released and ultimately claimed by Cincinnati.

For Bengals fans, this move adds a versatile linebacker with championship pedigree—someone who knows what it takes to compete at the highest level and is hungry to prove himself in a new uniform.
