The Miami Dolphins have been desperately searching for a Super Bowl for over half of a century while a playoff win has even alluded them for a quarter-century.
During this drought, the Dolphins have have made many picks in the NFL draft, with varying results. Sometimes they end up being one of the best quarterbacks of all-time like Dan Marino, while others aren't as memorable.
In fact, USA Today's Nate Davis believes the Dolphins have one of the 50 biggest draft busts of the last 50 years with the selection of defensive end Dion Jordan with the third overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft.
"The slender pass rusher was repeatedly suspended and only rewarded Miami with three sacks in two seasons,' Davis wrote. "The Dolphins paid a first- and second-round pick to Oakland to get the Oregon prospect. Philadelphia took future All-Pro OT Lane Johnson with the next selection."
Jordan was a stud at Oregon, earning All-Pac-12 honors twice and All-American honors once while recording 121 tackles, 14.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and two passes defensed in 45 games over four years.
He spent five seasons with Dolphins and appeared in 26 games, recording 46 tackles, seven quarterback hits, three sacks and three passes defensed. He also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers before retiring.
Jordan now serves as the head coach at Eureka College, a NCAA Division III school.
