Former Colorado wide receiver Jordyn Tyson is officially an NFL rookie after being picked by the New Orleans Saints in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Tyson won't be entering the NFL as a former Colorado Buffalo, however, after he transferred to Arizona State following the 2022 season, which was cut short after he tore his ACL. The Big 12 star was one of the most talented wideouts in the entire draft class.
Despite a laundry list of injuries, Tyson was still one of the most productive receivers in college football. He is one of three FBS receivers with at least 1,800 receiving yards and 18 touchdown catches over the last two years combined. Before breaking out at ASU, Tyson starred as a freshman at Colorado, racking up 22 catches for 470 yards and four touchdowns
Tyson steps into the Saints' offense, which is building a young and exciting core. He joins second-year quarterback Tyler Shough, wide receiver Chris Olave and running back Travis Etienne. He is the clear No. 2 wide receiver from Day 1.
Many Colorado fans were hoping the Cleveland Browns would select Tyson with their top-10 pick and pair him with Shedeur Sanders. Cleveland went in another direction, drafting an offensive lineman.
