In a move that keeps him within the conference, former Clemson defensive back Michael Mankaka has found a new home with the Boston College Eagles. This transfer marks the final player from Clemson's 2025 cycle to secure a new program, ensuring the ACC won't have to say goodbye to the defensive back just yet.

Standing at 6-foot and 190 pounds, Mankaka brings a unique journey to Chestnut Hill. He initially joined the Tigers as a walk-on wide receiver in 2022 before making the switch to defense ahead of the 2024 season. Over four seasons at Clemson, he saw action in 11 games, recording one tackle.

While his on-field production at Clemson was limited, a change of scenery often unlocks a player's potential. Moving from a powerhouse like Clemson to Boston College presents a prime opportunity for Mankaka to compete for a more significant role and expanded playing time. His experience within a top-tier ACC program and his demonstrated adaptability by changing positions are valuable assets he brings to the Eagles' secondary.

Before his collegiate career, Mankaka played at Laurens High School in South Carolina after moving from Rochester, Minnesota. Now, with a fresh start at Boston College, he'll look to make a bigger impact on the field and help bolster the Eagles' defense in the competitive ACC landscape.
