College basketball's transfer portal has delivered another major storyline, as former Cal guard Justin Pippen is taking his talents to Ohio State. The son of Chicago Bulls legend and Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen announced his commitment Friday, marking a significant addition for head coach Jake Diebler's Buckeyes.

Pippen is coming off a breakout season at California, where he earned All-ACC honorable mention honors. The 6-foot-3 combo guard averaged 14.2 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game, leading the Golden Bears in assists and steals. His defensive intensity was a particular standout, as his 1.9 steals per game ranked third in the entire ACC.

This move brings Pippen back to the Big Ten, where he began his collegiate career at Michigan.
