The Wisconsin Badgers didn’t see any of their players selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, but there was one former player who did see his name called: wide receiver C.J. Williams.

Williams, who transferred to Stanford this past season, was taken with the No. 203 pick in the sixth round by the Jacksonville Jaguars. As a senior, Williams broke out this season for the Cardinal, catching 59 passes for 749 yards and six touchdowns. That was far more than his previous three seasons combined, with Williams catching 35 passes for 430 yards across three years at USC and Wisconsin.

Still, the move was quite a surprise, as Williams was expected to go undrafted, according to the consensus boards. In addition, the Jaguars had just taken a receiver, selecting Josh Cameron at No. 191, just twelve picks before taking Williams.

In Jacksonville, Williams will join a room that now includes Jakobi Meyers, Brian Thomas Jr., Parker Washington, Travis Hunter, Austin Trammell, Chandleer Brayboy, Tim Jones, and Cameron.

Now, let’s see if Williams can fight his way on to Jacksonville’s 53-man roster this offseason.
