Florida State has extended an offer to 2028 blue-chip tight end Braxton Rein out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Florida State is already looking ahead to the 2028 recruiting cycle, and they've set their sights on a standout tight end prospect. The Seminoles recently extended an offer to four-star recruit Braxton Rein, a 6-foot-6, 235-pound athlete from Chattanooga, Tennessee, who is making waves nationally.

Rein's recruitment has been on a rapid ascent since the start of the year. Powerhouse programs like Texas, Penn State, Georgia, LSU, and Oregon have all jumped into the mix with offers. Now, Florida State has joined the chase, presenting him with a scholarship opportunity on Tuesday.

"I am blessed to announce that, after a great talk with @ThomsenChris, I have received an offer from Florida State University #gonoles," Rein shared on social media, signaling his excitement about the Seminoles' interest.

Ranked as the No. 136 overall player and the No. 6 tight end in the nation according to 247Sports composite rankings, Rein is also the No. 6 recruit in the state of Tennessee. His combination of size and athleticism makes him a coveted prospect for any program building for the future.

As a sophomore, Rein was a two-way starter at The Baylor School, playing both tight end and defensive end. His versatility earned him Sophomore All-American honors from MaxPreps. He spent his freshman season at Starr's Mill High School in Georgia before making the move to Tennessee.

For Florida State fans, this offer signals the Seminoles are serious about securing top-tier talent early in the 2028 cycle. With Rein's growing list of suitors, the competition will be fierce, but FSU is positioning itself as a contender for this blue-chip playmaker.
