After a trophyless season that left Real Madrid fans hungry for glory, club president Florentino Perez has dropped major hints about a blockbuster summer transfer window. In an exclusive interview with Josep Pedrerol on La Sexta, Perez made it clear that the squad will undergo a thorough review—and that the club's ambition in the transfer market remains as bold as ever.

"Of course, there will be signings," Perez declared, recalling the club's legendary acquisitions. "We’ve always signed the best. Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo, Beckham. Then came Cristiano, Kaka, and Benzema. I went to Benzema’s house to bring him in. If I see a good one, I go for him. I signed all the Ballon d’Or winners."

When pressed about Manchester City's superstar striker Erling Haaland, Perez played his cards close to his chest but left the door wide open. "Is Haaland impossible to sign? I don’t comment on that. That’s the job of the sporting director. I don’t get involved in sporting matters," he said with a knowing smile. The comment has already sent shockwaves through the football world, fueling speculation that the Norwegian goal machine could be Madrid's next marquee signing.

Perez also addressed recent reports of tension in the dressing room, specifically the rumored feud between midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni. With the calm of a seasoned leader, he dismissed the drama as part of the game. "I’ve been here for 26 years, and the players have fallen out several times every year," he said. "It’s normal inside elite football clubs."

Still, the president made one thing crystal clear: while disagreements may happen, the club will not tolerate anyone who puts personal interests above the team. As Real Madrid looks to bounce back stronger, all eyes are on the summer transfer window—and the potential arrival of a certain Norwegian might just be the story that defines it.
