In a fiery interview with El Chiringuito on Wednesday, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez fired back at critics during his re-election campaign, dropping a bombshell claim that has set the football world buzzing.

"I've won more European Cups than Barcelona has in its entire history," Pérez declared, drawing a sharp line under his legacy. The remark came after he called for snap elections on Tuesday, citing what he described as a "hostile environment" fueled by media rumors about his health and leadership.

Pérez, who has presided over Real Madrid's golden era, dismissed the negative press as an "orchestrated campaign" aimed at undermining the club's success. "Last year, we won the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup. Is that not worth anything anymore?" he asked, visibly frustrated.

The 77-year-old brushed off suggestions he was tired or unwell, quipping: "If I'm tired, it's from working. Do you think I'm sick?" He emphasized that the club remains in "good financial and social health" despite the rumors swirling around him.

Reflecting on his quarter-century at the helm, Pérez made it clear he's not stepping down quietly. "I've been here for 25 years," he said. "And I'm here to win many more European Cups."
