David Gabriel Georges has long been on Ohio State's wish list, and if he wasn't a must-get before, he certainly is now after posting his 40 time.

Ohio State is already loading up for what could be another championship-caliber season in 2026, but Ryan Day and his staff aren't just focused on the here and now. With the No. 8-ranked recruiting class in the 247Sports composite team rankings and only 11 commitments so far, the Buckeyes have plenty of room to add elite talent for the future.

Enter David Gabriel Georges, a five-star running back who has been at the top of Ohio State's wish list for a while. And after his latest workout, he just became even more of a must-get target. The Chattanooga, Tennessee native, currently ranked as the No. 2 running back in the country, recently blazed a 4.38-second 40-yard dash. That time would have placed him fourth overall at this year's NFL Combine—and he's still in high school. What makes it even more jaw-dropping is that Georges is already built like a pro, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 205 pounds.

Georges is set to take four official visits over the next month, checking out Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia, and Ole Miss. While all four schools are in the mix, the Buckeyes and Volunteers appear to have the inside track. Ohio State has been the most talked-about destination, but Georges has made it clear he'll take a long, hard look at each program before making the best decision for his future.

The Buckeyes will get the first chance to make a lasting impression when Georges arrives in Columbus for his official visit on May 29. With his rare combination of size and speed, landing this five-star tailback could be a game-changer for Ohio State's backfield for years to come.
