With another seven players taken in the 2026 NFL draft the Huskies are on a three-draft streak with that number expected to rise to four in 2027.

The Washington Huskies are building something special. After sending seven players to the 2026 NFL Draft—the program's largest haul since 2024, when ten Huskies were selected including three first-round picks—the momentum shows no signs of slowing down. Head coach Jedd Fisch enters his third season in Seattle with a roster stacked with future pro talent, and the 2027 draft class could be another banner year for UW.

Over the past 16 years, the Huskies have had at least one player drafted in all but one season. That streak looks safe with several current players already generating buzz. Two names stand out early: junior quarterback Demond Williams Jr. and senior right tackle Drew Azzopardi.

Azzopardi, a massive 6-foot-7, 322-pound transfer from San Diego State, has already cracked Pro Football Focus's initial 2027 NFL draft big board at No. 85. His improvement last season was remarkable. In his second full year as the starting right tackle, he allowed just one sack all season—and that came in the LA Bowl against Boise State. He nearly cut his total pressures surrendered in half, dropping from 29 to 15. That kind of leap in the Big Ten doesn't go unnoticed.

He anchored an offensive line that also featured now-San Francisco 49ers rookie Carver Willis, freshman left guard John Mills, junior center Landen Hatchett, and a rotation at right guard including sixth-year senior Geirean Hatchett and potential future starter Champ Taulealea. This unit paved the way for Williams Jr. in his first season as the starting signal-caller.

Speaking of Williams Jr., the 5-foot-11, 191-pound former Basha High School star is the engine of this offense. Known for his dual-threat ability, he showed flashes of brilliance in 2026 and will be the focal point of Fisch's system this fall. How he performs in his second full season as a starter will largely determine his draft stock. If he takes another leap, the Arizona native could be one of the more intriguing quarterback prospects in the 2027 class.

Beyond Williams Jr. and Azzopardi, keep an eye on several other Huskies who could emerge as the season progresses. Fisch's third year often brings the biggest jumps in player development, and with a proven track record of producing NFL talent, the 2027 draft could see Washington's streak of multiple selections extend to four years running.
