Austintown Fitch senior Kylie Folkwein hit 3 home runs in a 12-3 victory over state ranked Strasburg in Strasburg Tuesday afternoon.

In a performance that will be remembered for years, Austintown Fitch senior Kylie Folkwein etched her name into the Ohio high school softball record books on Tuesday afternoon. The standout slugger launched three home runs and drove in four runs to lead the Falcons to a commanding 12-3 victory over state-ranked Strasburg on the road.

Folkwein, a Division I Syracuse University commit, delivered what can only be described as a career day at the plate. Her three-homer game ties her for second all-time in OHSAA softball history, placing her alongside some of the state's most legendary hitters. It's the kind of performance that not only wins games but also cements a player's legacy.

For context, the Falcons entered this matchup as the top-ranked team in Division I according to the Ohio High School Softball Coaches Association poll. Strasburg, no slouch themselves, came in ranked fifth in Division VII. But on this day, Fitch's offense was simply unstoppable.

Folkwein wasn't the only star shining for the Falcons. Freshman pitcher Mila Hamley turned in a masterful complete-game performance, striking out eight batters over seven innings to secure the win. Kaliana Ray also went deep with a home run, while Abby Toth and Alyssa Rodgers each drove in three runs to round out a balanced and explosive attack.

The Falcons will look to keep their momentum rolling when they host Tallmadge on Thursday, May 7, at 5 p.m. If Tuesday's showing is any indication, opposing pitchers better be ready for a tough battle.
