Young golfers in South Dakota, get ready to tee up for an unforgettable summer! Registration is now officially open for the First Tee South Dakota 2026 youth program, hosted at the scenic Lakeview Golf Course in Mitchell.
This fantastic program is designed for athletes aged 6 to 17, offering much more than just swing mechanics. By blending core golf instruction with essential character-building lessons, First Tee helps young players develop the skills to succeed on the fairway and the confidence to thrive in everyday life.
The action unfolds on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the summer, with sessions scheduled for June 29, 30 and July 6, 7, 13, 20, 21, and 27. To ensure every participant gets age-appropriate coaching, classes are carefully segmented: ages 6-8 from 8:00-9:15 AM, ages 9-10 from 9:30-10:45 AM, and ages 11-13 & 14+ from 11:00 AM-12:15 PM.
With a registration fee of $98, the program is committed to accessibility. First Tee has a core principle that no child is ever turned away due to cost; financial assistance is available by contacting the program directors. All necessary golf equipment will be provided, though players are welcome to bring their own labeled clubs.
Spaces are limited to maintain a quality coaching environment, so early registration on a first-come, first-served basis is highly encouraged.
