The Tennessee Titans wrapped up the 2026 NFL Draft with eight new faces in the locker room, and by most accounts, general manager Mike Borgonzi put together another solid class. But as the dust settles, one pick has analysts scratching their heads.

CBS Sports' Josh Edwards recently highlighted the most questionable selection for each of the 32 teams, and for the Titans, that honor goes to offensive lineman Fernando Carmona—a fifth-round pick out of Arkansas (No. 142 overall).

While Edwards admitted he "personally enjoyed" Tennessee's draft class overall, he noted that Carmona was more of a seventh-round prospect in his eyes. The Titans needed help along the offensive line, and Carmona does bring some positional flexibility, having played tackle during his college career. But the pick raised eyebrows due to a perceived lack of buzz and name recognition compared to other interior linemen available.

That said, there's reason for optimism. Carmona is an experienced lineman with the intangibles the Titans covet, and he'll have every chance to compete for a roster spot. Perhaps more telling: offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo was actively scouting on different trips this offseason, and it's a safe bet he signed off on this pick. If Carmona has the traits Bricillo looks for in his prospects, that's a promising sign—even if it doesn't mean much right now.

For Titans fans, the hope is that Carmona develops into a reliable contributor. For now, he's the draft's biggest question mark in Nashville.
