FC Bayern Women proved once again why they're the team to beat this season, staging a thrilling late comeback to preserve their unbeaten record in the Google Pixel Bundesliga. In a tense 1-1 draw at home against Hoffenheim, the Bavarians showed the championship grit that has defined their campaign.

The visitors struck first blood just before halftime when Selina Cerci latched onto a perfectly weighted through ball, calmly slotting past goalkeeper Ena Mahmutovic. It was a classic sucker punch against a Bayern side that had dominated possession but struggled to find the final touch.

The first half saw plenty of midfield battles, with Momoko Tanikawa firing over after 14 minutes for the hosts. Laura Dick was forced into action to tip a Vanessa Gilles header over the bar, while Katharina Naschenweng and Franziska Kett both came close but couldn't find the target.

After the break, Bayern turned up the pressure and camped in Hoffenheim's half. Kett and Georgia Stanway tried their luck, while Arianna Caruso volleyed over from a promising position. Even defender Magdalena Eriksson was denied with a header as the home side pushed for an equalizer.

Substitute Klara Bühl injected fresh energy into the attack, firing just wide across goal. But it was centre-back Eriksson who finally broke through in the 89th minute, getting on the end of Bühl's cross and heading home via a deflection off a defender's leg on the line. The late drama sent the home crowd into a frenzy.

Bayern's unbeaten run continues as they head into a massive week. Their final home game of the season is Saturday against Eintracht Frankfurt, where they'll receive the Bundesliga trophy. Then comes the DFB Cup final in Cologne on Thursday, where they face Wolfsburg in a bid to retain their domestic double. With this never-say-die spirit, you wouldn't bet against them.
