The 2026 NFL Draft is officially in the rearview mirror, and that means one thing: it's time to start thinking about your fantasy football championship run. The Yahoo Fantasy crew—featuring analysts Matt Harmon, Justin Boone, Scott Pianowski, Joel Smyth, and Dan Titus, alongside NFL writer Frank Schwab and other team members—recently gathered for a 10-round mock draft. The mission? Take the best players available, no roster constraints, using Yahoo's default half-point PPR scoring. Here are the results and the biggest takeaways from every round.

The first round unfolded almost exactly as you'd expect when real leagues kick off this summer—especially the top six picks. If you're drafting later this year, don't be surprised to see Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Ja'Marr Chase, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Puka Nacua, and Christian McCaffrey go in some order as the first six selections. The last two in that group might give you pause: Nacua has had a rocky offseason, and McCaffrey is coming off a monster workload (he handled the fourth-most opportunities at running back since 2000). But at their peaks, both can single-handedly tilt a league, making them worthy top-six picks.

The back half of Round 1 leaned more toward wide receivers than your typical draft might. In many leagues, running backs like James Cook, Jonathan Taylor, and De'Von Achane could sneak ahead of some of the receivers we selected here. Keep that in mind when you're on the clock.

One pick that stood out: Kyler Murray. He may not be the perfect quarterback, but he's consistently ranked among the top 20 in efficiency metrics—even while playing in an offense that didn't suit his skills the last three seasons. Now he's a major upgrade over what Justin Jefferson played with in 2025, and Jefferson thrives on the vertical and boundary routes Murray loves to throw. That connection alone could be a league-winner.
