The countdown is on for Philadelphia Eagles fans across the pond! Following Wednesday morning's official announcement that the Birds will face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 11, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, excitement is already reaching fever pitch.
For Eagles faithful, this isn't just another game—it's a transatlantic pilgrimage. Stefanie Morgan, president of The Green Legion, was flooded with calls the moment the news dropped. Her company specializes in organizing travel packages for Eagles away games, and they've been eagerly awaiting this moment. "We make sure to do all our research in the offseason, so when we do find out the date, we are ready to go," Morgan shared. She estimates that around 1,000 fans will join their travel group for this London showdown.
This trip brings back fond memories for Eagles fans who made the journey in October 2018, when Philadelphia defeated Jacksonville at Wembley Stadium. "Over a thousand people, non-stop partying and fun. Exploring the city. Experiencing everything that London has to offer," Morgan recalled. "We're hoping to do the same thing."
Across London, local businesses are also gearing up for the Eagles invasion. JP Teti, owner of Passyunk Avenue—a Philadelphia-themed bar that opened its first location in March 2018—knows firsthand what to expect. "We were just finding our feet. We were kind of catching on in London at that point as a little bit of a cult classic," Teti explained. "And then, the Eagles came, and it was crazy. It was insanity, and we had to grow up quite quickly."
Since that memorable 2018 visit, Passyunk Avenue has expanded to four additional London locations. The bar has become a home-away-from-home for Philly sports fans in the UK, even hosting Phillies supporters when the team played the Mets in London back in June 2024. "We shut down a street in central London, and I think we'll look to do that again for a big street party on game day," Teti said, adding with a grin, "We have a crazy ambition to do a bunch of crazy stuff beyond what we've done before."
Whether you're packing your bags for London or cheering from home, October 11 promises to be a memorable day for Eagles Nation. Get ready to represent in style—your game-day gear might just be the most important thing in your suitcase!
