The 2026 NFL Draft kicked off on Thursday night, but 25 percent of the teams in the league, including the Atlanta Falcons, traded out for the first round. That means eight teams have yet to make a pick going into Day 2. The Falcons have to be happy with the way the draft has unfolded thus far.

Day 2 of the draft begins at 7 p.m. ET in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and contains Rounds 2-3. Atlanta has needs at the wide receiver, defensive tackle and linebacker positions, but don't be surprised to see the team take a cornerback or offensive lineman depending on how the board falls.

From pick grades to trade breakdowns, follow along live with our Falcons Wire 2026 NFL Draft tracker below.

The Falcons have five picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, all of which are on Days 2-3. Atlanta has two picks on Day 2, and three more on Day 3. Here's the full list:

There is no shortage of potential Falcons draft targets on the board as we prepare for Day 2, from A.J. Terrell's brother to Ohio State defensive tackle Kayden McDonald.

CB Avieon Terrell, Clemson: The brother of Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell, Clemson's Avieon Terrell, would be a steal at pick No. 48. While cornerback isn't a huge need, Terrell would be tough to pass on. Atlanta already has a talented secondary and Terrell's fearless playing style would fit right in. He was ranked No. 23 on PFF's big board ahead of the draft.

DT Christen Miller, Georgia: Miller has been a popular projection for the Falcons in mock drafts and it's easy to see why. The Georgia standout would provide the perfect blend of talent, need and value for Atlanta at pick No. 48. If Miller is on the board, it's hard to imagine the Falcons passing. NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah has Miller ranked as the 46th prospect in the draft.

WR Germie Bernard, Alabama: No surprise, here. Bernard might be the second-most popular Falcons draft projection. There are still a few good wide receivers left, but Bernard might be the best fit in the second round. Last season, Bernard had 64 catches for 862 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. The Alabama standout is Jeremiah's 49th-ranked prospect.

LB C.J. Allen, Georgia: The Falcons have a need at linebacker after letting Kaden Elliss walk in free agency. Georgia's C.J. Allen could be an ideal replacement on Day 2. Elliss' strength was his versatility, and Allen can do a lot of the same things. The Bulldogs linebacker is a force against the run and has the athleticism to succeed in coverage.

DE Zion Young, Missouri: The Falcons don't have a huge need at edge, especially as James Pearce Jr.'s future starts to clear up. However, this is not considered a very talented or deep draft class, and landing Young on Day 2 would be a huge win. He isn't a one-trick pony, either. Young is formidable as both a pass-rusher and run-stopper.

DT Kayden McDonald, Ohio State: The way this draft is going, I would be surprised if McDonald is still on the board at pick No. 48. The Ohio State standout is exactly what the Falcons need in the middle of their defense. McDonald has good size for the position (6-foot-3, 326 pounds), is dominant run defender, and recorded a career-high four sacks last season. PFF has the Ohio State standout rated as the 28th overall prospect.

The Falcons are expected to target the wide receiver and defensive tackle positions, and as you can see, there are some quality prospects still available at those positions entering Day 2. So, with that said, let's check out the full order of picks in Rounds 2-3 of the 2026 NFL Draft.

100. Jacksonville Jaguars (from Lions; special compensatory)

Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft (Rounds 4-7) begins at noon ET on Saturday and will feature picks 101-257. The Falcons have three more picks on Day 3: Nos. 122, 215 and 231, assuming they don't pull off any Day 2 trades.
