There's a fake photo going around of Bo NIx's legs. The photo shows Alex Smith's legs in 2024, not Nix's.

Rumor control, Broncos fans: That viral photo supposedly showing Bo Nix's legs after his recent surgery is not what you think.

Yes, the image is real—but those legs belong to former NFL quarterback Alex Smith, not Nix. Someone Photoshopped Smith's 2024 photo to make it appear as if it was posted by the Denver Broncos' signal-caller following his ankle clean-up procedure. Rest assured, Nix is just fine.

Dr. Aditya J. Yerrapragada, a foot and ankle specialist at CommonSpirit Health and Bouldercentre for Orthopedics who did not perform the surgery, weighed in to calm any concerns. "For someone in his position, it actually is pretty common," Dr. Yerrapragada told KKTV 11 News. "This was expected, and for someone his level, everything has to be perfect. We don't want him to come back with some uncertainty."

The doctor emphasized that the procedure is unlikely to cause long-term issues for the rookie quarterback. "It might add some recovery time in the short-term, but it should not jeopardize his ability to get back for the season," he said.

According to NFL Network, Nix is expected to be ready at or near the start of training camp, which typically kicks off in late July. For a young QB looking to make his mark, that's music to any Broncos fan's ears.

So take a deep breath, #BroncosCountry. Bo Nix's legs—and his season—are on track. And as for that fake photo? Consider it debunked.
