A massive bombshell has dropped that’s made the scandal rocking Italian football even more explosive: a Formula 1 driver has ended up in a police wiretap that’s linked to a high-end prostitution ring operating out of Milan.
The whole thing blew wide open when the case was revealed by of La Gazzetta dello Sport, an Italian paper that’s been digging deep into the story and now already has around 70 Serie A players implicated, including Milan, Inter and Juve players. But the fact that one an F1 driver is now at the centre of it all has made this more shocking. It’s wild because F1 is usually the one sport that stays “clean” and clear of these kinds of seedy headlines.
At the center of the controversy is an intercepted phone call dated February 18 in which an intermediary allegedly states: “I have a friend, a Formula 1 driver, who is coming to Milan tonight, he’s looking for a girl”
According to judicial documents, the network reportedly responded by offering to send a “Brazilian” escort.
The identity of the driver remains unknown, and this reference comes from surveillance material, not a formal accusation.
One of the most interesting things is the fact that the timing matches up so neatly. February 18th just happened to coincide with pre-season testing for the Formula 1 in Bahrain, and most of the full-time drivers were over there.
As a result, some people are speculating that the individual in question may not be necessarily currently driving in a 2026 race, and maybe they have some sort of connection to the sport (either as a reserve driver, a former one or an associate to someone in the sport )
But for now, all it is at this point is speculation.

The investigation say that the whole thing ran under the cover of some dodgy-looking event agency called “made_luxury_concierge” based in a little place near Milan called Cinisello Balsamo.
Their offer was that you could get ultra-exclusive night out experiences for clients of a certain level, like VIP access to the top clubs, fine dining in the swanky venues and even an overnight stay in a 5-star hotel like the ME Milan Il Duca. And the escort services were part of the “all-inclusive” packages.
Italian financial police seized over €1.2m and they were tracking bank transfers to people with a foot linked to figures in sport and business.
Another detail has come to light regarding the alleged widespread use of Nitrous oxide or more commonly known as “laughing gas” during these events.
This substance is not banned in anti-doping regulations. It produces a pretty intense sense of euphoria and is pretty useful for athletes as it leaves behind no trace in standard drug tests whatsoever.

The legal action so far has been targeting the organisers, not the clients who used their services.
Four people have been arrested, including the alleged ringleaders Emanuele Buttini and Deborah Ronchi. The charges are quite serious, including accusations of exploiting prostitution and money laundering.
Under Italian law, paying for consensual sex is not itself a crime, but the people who are running the operation and making a profit out of it, is.
For now, at least, no Formula One driver have been named, and none of the footballers are currently under investigation.
