In an exclusive interview with Get French Football News, former Manchester United and France striker Louis Saha shared his thoughts on the club's remarkable turnaround under interim manager Michael Carrick. The conversation is part of a four-part series, and Saha didn't hold back on what he believes should come next for the Red Devils.

When asked about Carrick's impact since taking the helm, Saha highlighted a key shift in approach. "He brought simplicity and cohesion," Saha explained. "Carrick didn't come in demanding a strict style of play. Instead, he focused on making the players comfortable and playing to their strengths. He gave them a system that's easy to understand, allowing them to be a split-second ahead of their opponents."

Saha, who won multiple trophies during his time at Old Trafford, emphasized that Carrick's understanding of the club's culture has been crucial. "His second major strength is knowing the institution. He knows how this club has always achieved results, and that brought confidence to everyone—both those new to the system and those who already understood it."

So, what would Saha do if he were in new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe's shoes? The answer is clear: "I would definitely ask Sir Jim to not only extend Carrick's contract but to strengthen his position. With a few smart signings and a staff focused on progression, it's the coherent move. The current team has a strong spine. Add two or three key midfielders—players with more energy, creativity, and defensive potential—and you have a clear plan for the future."

For Manchester United fans, Saha's advice is a vote of confidence in Carrick's leadership and a call for stability in a season of change.
