In a dramatic Monday night clash that had Premier League title implications written all over it, Everton striker Thierno Barry delivered a performance that Arsenal fans won't soon forget—and he made sure to let them know he was thinking of them.

Coming off the bench in the 64th minute with Manchester City leading 1-0, the 23-year-old forward turned the match on its head. Barry netted twice to put Everton ahead, only for Jeremy Doku's 97th-minute equalizer to salvage a point for the champions. Still, Barry's heroics handed Arsenal a crucial advantage in the title race: three wins now secure the trophy for the Gunners.

Barry, clearly aware of the impact, took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to share a subtle but unmistakable message with Arsenal supporters. The post featured a clip from Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, where Commissioner Gordon tells the Dark Knight, "I never said thank you."

The gesture adds fuel to long-standing rumors that Barry grew up an Arsenal fan. Photos from 2020 appear to show him in a Gunners shirt, and whispers have persisted that his invited guests at the Everton end during a March match at the Emirates Stadium were celebrating Arsenal goals—leading to a scuffle with nearby Everton supporters.

Barry has previously denied those claims, but his on-field actions and off-field messages this week tell a different story. Whether he's a lifelong Gooner or just a fan of good cinema, the young striker has certainly given Arsenal a helping hand when it mattered most.
