According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the Milwaukee Bucks plan to ask Antetokounmpo to sign an extension this summer—and he's expected to decline. With just one year left on his contract, the Bucks would have little choice but to explore trade options, and the Celtics were already in the mix before the February deadline.

But here's the catch: Marks argues that Boston should only pursue the two-time MVP if he commits to a long-term extension. "Would the Celtics spit up Tatum or Brown if there is no assurance Antetokounmpo will extend his deal during the regular season?" Marks wrote. "The answer should be a hard no considering Brown and Tatum have at least three years remaining on their contracts."

The duo of Brown and Jayson Tatum has already led Boston to two NBA Finals appearances and one championship.
