The Las Vegas Raiders may have wrapped up the 2026 NFL Draft, but according to ESPN, their roster still has a glaring weakness that needs addressing: the wide receiver position.
As it stands, Tre Tucker is the Raiders' top wideout after leading the team with 696 receiving yards in 2025. While the team added Jalen Nailor in free agency—a slot receiver who posted over 400 yards in each of the last two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings—and selected Malik Benson in the sixth round of the draft, the depth chart remains thin. Benson has potential, but as a rookie, he'll need time to develop and prove himself at the professional level.
ESPN's Aaron Schatz highlighted this concern, noting that despite the offseason moves, the Raiders would benefit from another outside receiver. "The Raiders have wide receivers, but no one is established as a No. 1 option," Schatz said. "Yes, their top receiver is tight end Brock Bowers, but it's still good to have somebody drawing attention outside."
The good news for Raiders fans? There are still quality options available in free agency. Tyreek Hill, a five-time first-team All-Pro, tops the list. Despite coming off significant knee injuries last season, the speedster is still in his prime and could provide the explosive playmaking the Raiders need. Stefon Diggs, a consistent 1,000-yard receiver, is also available and has resolved his legal issues, though the NFL continues to review his off-field situation. Deebo Samuel, another former All-Pro, fits well with the Raiders' offensive scheme and could be a game-changer.
With $24.3 million in cap space, Las Vegas has the financial flexibility to pursue any of these top-tier receivers—or others on the market. As the offseason continues, all eyes will be on whether the Raiders make a move to fill this critical hole and give their offense the deep threat it desperately needs.
