Emanuel Emegha may have already played his final game for RC Strasbourg Alsace, with a summer move to Chelsea on the horizon. The 23-year-old Dutch striker, who was controversially announced as a future Chelsea signing back in September—just after being named Strasbourg's club captain—has endured a frustrating season hampered by injuries.

Limited to just 18 appearances across all competitions, Emegha has still managed to find the back of the net eight times. However, he won't be adding to that tally in the immediate future. Strasbourg manager Gary O'Neil confirmed ahead of Thursday's UEFA Europa Conference League semi-final second leg against Rayo Vallecano that Emegha has suffered a hamstring injury, ruling him out of the final two Ligue 1 matchweeks.

O'Neil offered a glimmer of hope, noting there's "maybe a chance" Emegha could return for the Europa Conference League final—but only if Strasbourg can overturn a one-goal deficit from the first leg. For now, fans of both clubs will be watching closely as this young talent's next chapter unfolds.
