The Georgia Bulldogs have lost another commitment in the class of 2027 with three-star wide receiver Aden Starling announcing his decommitment

The Georgia Bulldogs have suffered another setback in their 2027 recruiting class, as three-star wide receiver Aden Starling officially announced his decommitment on social media. Starling, who had been committed to Georgia since December 2025, is now reopening his recruitment—a move that leaves the Bulldogs without a single wide receiver commit in the class.

Starling, a 6-foot, 175-pound pass catcher from Shadow Creek High School in Pearland, Texas, is ranked as the No. 814 overall recruit in the nation and the No. 101 wide receiver in his class. He also holds the No. 106 spot among Texas prospects. In his announcement, Starling expressed gratitude toward the Georgia coaching staff and fans, stating, "After further consideration and deep thought about what's best for me and my future, I will be decommitting from University of Georgia. Please respect my decision."

This decommitment comes as a blow to Georgia's 2027 class, which now holds seven total commitments and sits at No. 22 nationally. With Starling's departure, the Bulldogs have no wide receivers locked in for the cycle. However, the writing may have been on the wall: Starling took spring visits to Arkansas and LSU, suggesting he was exploring other options. Georgia is expected to pivot to other wide receiver targets to fill the gap.

Starling isn't the only recent decommitment for the Bulldogs—four-star cornerback Jerry Outhouse also stepped away. But it's not all bad news in Athens. Five-star tight end Jaxon Dollar recently committed to Georgia, giving the program a major boost at a key position.

For Bulldogs fans, this recruiting roller coaster is part of the game. As the 2027 class takes shape, all eyes will be on how Georgia responds to fill its receiver room with top talent. Stay tuned for more updates on the recruiting trail!
