The recruiting trail is heating up, and one of Georgia's former commits is making major moves. Three-star wide receiver Aden Starling, who recently decommitted from the Bulldogs, has officially narrowed his options to three powerhouse programs: LSU, Arkansas, and Kentucky.
Starling, a 6-foot, 175-pound pass-catcher from Shadow Creek High School in Pearland, Texas, is part of the 2027 recruiting class. Ranked as the No. 102 wide receiver nationally, he's a dynamic playmaker with plenty of upside. His commitment history has been a rollercoaster—he initially pledged to Houston in October 2024 before flipping to Georgia in December 2025, only to decommit again this past May.
According to recruiting insider Andre Champagne, LSU is currently the favorite to land Starling, with a visit to Baton Rouge scheduled for June 5-7. That's a big signal for Tigers fans hoping to add another weapon to their future offense.
For Georgia, Starling's departure adds to a growing list of decommitments, including Donte Wright and Jerry Outhouse. The Bulldogs now sit at No. 28 in the national recruiting rankings and have yet to secure a single wide receiver commit in this cycle. They're still in the mix for four-star wideout Sean Green, but the urgency is building.
Still, there's no reason to panic in Athens just yet. Georgia's roster is loaded with young talent at receiver, including redshirt sophomore Sacovie White-Helton, who could be poised for a breakout role. The Bulldogs have depth, but adding elite pass-catchers remains a priority for the future.
As Starling's recruitment heats up, all eyes will be on his LSU visit—and whether the Tigers can seal the deal.
