Eight players are to leave Eastleigh with the club announcing they have retained another 10 for next season.

Heading out of the Silverlake Stadium are Richard Brindley, Inih Effiong, Lloyd Humphries, Niall Maher, Josh McNamara, Jake Vokins, Paul McCallum and Angel Waruih.

But Aaron Blair, Jordan Cousins, Kieron Evans, Temi Eweka, Josh Lundstram, Sam Pearson, Aaron Pierre, Barney Stone and Nick Townsend are contracted to at least next season while they have taken up an option to extend Connor Underhill's deal.

The Spitfires finished 17th in the National League this season, winning 13 matches, drawing 11 and losing 22.

They made it to the first round proper of the FA Cup before being knocked out by League Two side Walsall.

Kelvin Davis was in charge at the start of the campaign before Scott Bartlett took over in September.

But Bartlett was later sacked in February, with Richard Hill appointed on an interim basis until the end of the season.
