GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The ECU Cheerleading team won the National Cheerleaders Association competition in Daytona Florida.
NCA is a competition between college cheer teams where they compete their two minuet and 15 second routines that they worked on all year. ECU competed in the intermediate D1 large coed division.
The ECU cheer team was in fourth place day one of the competition due to some deductions in their score, but day two they came together and competed a perfect routine to win the national title.
