As fantasy football managers begin their early prep for the 2026 season, expert consensus rankings (ECR) are providing the first clues on player value. For those targeting the Jacksonville Jaguars, the landscape offers intriguing bargains, particularly in a backfield poised for a new era.
The wide receiver room presents a unique, if cloudy, situation for fantasy. Brian Thomas Jr. (WR36 ECR), Jakobi Meyers (WR40), and Parker Washington (WR45) are all clustered within ten ranking spots of each other. This unusual tight grouping reflects the uncertainty in the pecking order after all three finished outside the top 36 in points per game last season. While one could emerge as a steal, the lack of a clear alpha makes this a high-risk, high-reward position group for drafters.
The safer value, however, lies in the Jaguars' backfield. With Travis Etienne Jr. moving on, a new lead back will emerge. Bhayshul Tuten, carrying an RB26 ECR, is the prime candidate. Bordering on post-hype status, Tuten possesses strong 200+ touch potential in an offense that ranked eighth in rushing attempts last year. That volume alone could cement him as an RB2 with legitimate top-12 upside.
Behind him, two backs offer deep-league value. Chris Rodriguez (RB54) is a proven, efficient runner (4.6 YPC career) with a nose for the end zone (10 TDs on 198 carries). While his lack of passing-game work limits his weekly ceiling, he's a valuable handcuff and TD-dependent flex in a productive offense.
For PPR leagues, keep an eye on LeQuint Allen (RB86). The rookie out of Syracuse showcased elite receiving chops with 119 career catches. If he can carve out a third-down role and secure 40+ receptions, he could easily outproduce his late-round ADP and outperform Rodriguez in point-per-reception formats. In a run-heavy scheme, all three Jaguars runners are positioned to outperform their current cost, making them priority targets for savvy fantasy managers building their rosters.
