Fantasy expert consensus rankings (“ECR”) are starting to pop up across the Internet, giving managers an early glimpse into how the market might value hundreds of players this summer. As we look ahead to the 2026 season, here are the biggest Broncos busts based on ECR.
Courtland Sutton seems like the most clear-cut bust candidate. His WR28 ECR might have been semi-reasonable if this franchise hadn’t added Jaylen Waddle. Now the 30-year-old longtime Bronco is a long shot to finish in the top 32. Expect sizable target share (124 looks last season and 135 the year before) to drop below 100, as some combination of Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims, and Pat Bryant will take meaningful steps forward.
For context, he was the WR22 in points per game last season, due in large part to being the league’s 11th-most targeted WR. A likely 25%+ drop in looks would put him in Deebo Samuel (WR33 in 2025) territory, or even Parker Washington (WR39) territory. Experts are way too bullish on Sutton.
Another player to be cautious about is J.K. Dobbins (RB38 ECR). We should assume R.J. Harvey (RB22 ECR) can take a larger share of that backfield after a fairly impressive rookie campaign -- or at least, impressive enough to earn 225+ touches. Harvey effectively is putting the squeeze on Dobbins’ ceiling.
Despite a terrific per-game career (5.2 yards per carry and 26 TDs in only 47 games), Dobbins isn’t just competing for touches. He’s also contending with a long injury history. He’s missed 62% of his team’s games since 2021. That’s an insanely high percentage, and there’s no evidence to suggest that he’s a below-average injury risk entering 2026. In other words, he’ll be hard-pressed to finish in the top 40.
