Fantasy expert consensus rankings (“ECR”) are starting to pop up across the Internet, giving managers an early glimpse into how the market might value hundreds of players this summer. As we look ahead to the 2026 season, here are the biggest Chiefs busts based on ECR.

Super Bowl MVPs frequently underperform the following year. They often can’t sustain the hype that over-inflates their preseason rankings. Kenneth Walker’s recent postseason heroics don’t ignore the fact that he was 2025’s RB29 in fantasy points per game. In four NFL seasons, he’s reached the top 16 only once -- an RB12 finish in 2024.

His current ECR is RB11. Some experts might argue that the Chiefs have a more powerful offense. But that doesn’t hold water, as Seattle scored the third-most points last year. In fact, the Seahawks also had the stingiest defense, which led to run-heavy game plans that benefited Walker. Others might argue that, unlike in recent seasons, Kansas City doesn’t have a strong #2 RB, meaning Walker should earn bell-cow usage.

Except Walker has never been a high-volume RB. He topped out at 255 regular-season touches as a rookie. Then last season, the playoffs pushed him to 326 total touches, far above his all-time high going back to high school. I’m betting that the Chiefs won’t overwork him, resulting in production outside the top 14.

Shockingly (maybe), Travis Kelce is my other top bust candidate. His TE15 ECR might suggest he’s undervalued. But for declining talents -- even one as great as Kelce -- the drop-offs often grow steeper and steeper. His broken-tackle rate is plummeting. His 2025 drop rate was his second-worst ever. His target share fell to 6.4 per game last year after netting 8.0 for his career. It probably won’t get better in 2026.

Kelce produced single-digit fantasy points in eight contests last season. That probably will keep climbing, along with the injury risks (and long-recovery risks) that come with aging. He’s a deceptively overvalued tight end.
