As if the Makai Lemon mishap wasn't embarrassing enough for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Philadelphia Eagles took to social media to rub a little bit of salt in the wound.
Less than 10 minutes after Ian Rapoport of NFL Network revealed that the Steelers were on the phone with Lemon, unaware that the Eagles were going to draft him, Philadelphia reposted the report on social media with a savage caption: "lol, go Philadelphia Flyers," taking aim at the Steelers and another Pittsburgh sports team.
For any fans unaware of the meaning behind the Eagles' message, the Flyers are currently dominating the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-0 in the first round of the 2026 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Eagles' front office made the smarter move and refused to let the Steelers live it down, as if reaching on Arizona State offensive tackle Max Iheanachor wasn't bad enough.
